[Zlib-devel] zlib development and performance

Old and new zlib developers,

There have been some recent phone conversations with heavy users and enhancers of zlib at Google, IBM, Intel, ARM, and the Linux Foundation to reinvigorate the development of zlib. There are many well-tested performance improvements in zlib waiting in the wings that will be incorporated over the next several months. As a heads up, you will start seeing more traffic on this list, including requests for testing release candidates.
